91心頭 Recognizes Cybersecurity Awareness Month with Commitment to Online Safety and Education

91心頭s is proud to announce its participation in Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October, joining a global effort led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) to promote safer digital practices for individuals and organizations alike.

Now in its 22nd year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a call to action for everyone to take responsibility for their online safety. This years theme, Stay Safe Online, emphasizes the importance of empathy, accessibility, and shared responsibility in creating a safer digital world.

As part of the campaign, the Center for Cybersecurity, in partnership with Bradley Information Technology Students (BITS) and the Bradley Cybersecurity Club, will host several events throughout the month of October to spread cybersecurity awareness and also share helpful resources across social media and internal channels using the hashtag #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth.

2025 Cybersecurity Film Series

The 2025 Cybersecurity Film Series will feature four films throughout the month of October. All films will be shown in the Marty Theatre, located in the basement of the Michel Student Center. Attendance is free and open to the public. Popcorn will be provided for each film.

The Great Hack (2019)
Wednesday, Oct. 1, 6:00 p.m.
Explore how a data company named Cambridge Analytica came to symbolize the dark side of social media in the wake of the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Global Spyware Scandal: Exposing Pegasus (2023)
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 6:00 p.m.
FRONTLINE and Forbidden Films, the documentary arm of Forbidden Stories, investigate the powerful spyware Pegasus, sold to governments around the world by the Israeli company NSO Group. This two-part series, part of the Pegasus Project, examines how the hacking tool was used on journalists, activists, the wife and fianc辿e of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and others.

After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News (2020)
Wednesday, Oct. 15, 6:00 p.m.
This eye-opening documentary examines the rising phenomenon of fake news in the US and its impact in the age of social media.

Computers v. Crime (2022)
Wednesday, Oct. 22, 6:00 p.m.
In police departments and courts across the country, artificial intelligence is being used to help decide who is policed, who gets bail, how offenders should be sentenced, and who gets parole. But is it actually making our law enforcement and court systems fairer and more just? This timely investigation digs into the hidden biases, privacy risks, and design flaws of this controversial technology.

Our annual Cybersecurity Day event will consist of talks from Matthew Specht and Matthew Thomson, both from M3 Insurance, followed by the induction of Reed Sanders and Benjamin Padgitt into the Bradley Red Team Hall of Fame.
